At the end of the two year old Cody starts to blend reining and cutting maneuvers so the horse can adjust and feel out what Cody is asking in the show pen.

Cody uses a flag and shock steer on Buzz right now because he feels she has enough cow and desire to want to take over. He is focusing on keeping her correct and controlled so that when the time comes and she wants to do things on her own, she maintains effective body positions.
