Robert reviews his fence work from a recent shoe and works a cow that is on the faster side. He felt like his horse had a little trouble in the show pen when things got really fast.

Robert works reining horse on the flag, explaining that she has less cow and feel than horses bred for cutting or cow horse, so he tries to work on patterning her until the flag has meaning.

Ashley uses Flame, a four year old gelding by Darkelly, to demonstrate how she warms up and softens a fresh reactive horse. After her warmup, Ashley works on keeping Flame patient and soft while working through the barrels.

Ashley takes time to slow down and work through some areas where Chip needs improvement after being on the road.

Cody gets a horse outside a cow to help get her less tight on a cow.

Andrew works a 2 coming 3 year old Rollz Royce filly on a cow. This filly was started by his wife and is slated for the 2026 Non Pro Futurity.

Desi, a four year old mare, is getting ready for Versatility shows and hopefully a cowhorse derby later in the fall. She is built downhill, so Robert helps her stand up.

Jim works on steering Jacs to get him ready to spin. This horse tends to need to be really motivated to perform maneuvers and Jim works on helping him be more willing from the start.

The final ride in the round pen

Emily works a bridle horse and goes through most of the reining maneuvers in a routine that keeps them guessing instead of anticipating. Older show horses start to know the general patterns of maneuvers they usually do, so mixing it up helps gain their attention and gets them listening to the rider.

Emily brings back three year old futurity prospect Maggie after some time off. Her goal for this ride is keep Maggie driving forward and moving up and around through her turns.

Cody starts to introduce fence work to a non pro snaffle bit horse. He balances between taking a hold and letting the horse stay with the cow to slowly develop the horse.
